Microsoft Edge's Immersive Reader is a powerful tool designed to enhance the online reading experience by simplifying webpage layouts, removing distractions, and offering customizable features to suit individual preferences. Originally developed to assist readers with dyslexia and dysgraphia, Immersive Reader has evolved into a versatile resource beneficial for anyone seeking a more focused and personalized reading environment.

To enter Immersive Reader mode in Microsoft Edge, follow these steps:
  • Navigate to the Desired Webpage: Open Microsoft Edge and go to the webpage you wish to read.
  • Enter Immersive Reader:
  • Click the Immersive Reader icon (depicted as a book with a speaker) located in the address bar.
  • Alternatively, press the F9 key on your keyboard.
If the Immersive Reader icon isn't visible in the address bar, you can still access the feature:
  • Using the Context Menu:
  • Highlight the text you want to read.
  • Right-click the selected text and choose "Open in Immersive Reader" from the context menu.
To exit Immersive Reader, click the Exit Immersive Reader button in the address bar or press F9 again.
