Hi Peter,

This error—StoreAgentScanForUpdatesFailure0 with error code 8024402c—generally indicates that the Windows Store update scanning process ran into issues. Here are a few points to consider:

What’s happening:
The error comes from Windows Error Reporting, which picked up a failure in the background process (StoreAgent) that scans for updates. Although it might look alarming when you see hundreds of entries, many of these errors are benign and can appear even when everything seems to work fine.

Possible Causes:

• The error might be related to a temporary network glitch or connectivity issue with the Microsoft Update servers.
• It could be that the Windows Store itself (or its related components) is having intermittent issues.
• Sometimes a corrupted cache or minor misconfigurations in the update services lead to these errors.

Next Steps:
Check Your Internet Connection: Make sure your connection is stable. A brief drop in connectivity can trigger these errors when the system attempts to check for updates.
Run Windows Update Troubleshooter: Windows includes troubleshooting tools that may help resolve any misconfiguration related to updates or the Store.
Reset the Windows Store Cache: Open a command prompt and run wsreset.exe to clear the cache, which sometimes resolves update scanning issues.
Monitor for Impact: If your system seems to be updating correctly and you’re not experiencing other issues (like failing app updates), these error reports can be considered low risk. They’re just Windows’ way of noting that something didn’t go perfectly.

In short, while these errors are certainly noisy, if everything is otherwise running smoothly, they’re typically nothing to worry about. However, if you start facing unusual issues with Windows updates or store functionality, you might want to dig a bit deeper or consider resetting parts of the update mechanism.

Hope this helps clear things up!

Cheers,
