Essential Links for Downloading Nvidia and ATI Graphic Drivers

Nvidia has released the Official Forceware 260.99 WHQL certified driver for Windows XP, Vista and 7. This driver is for the GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400 and ION series cards. It contains performance improvements in Civilization V, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIV and Formula 1 Racing, adds SLI profiles for NFS: Hot Pursuit, Star Wars: Force Unleashed II and Fallout: New Vegas, improves compatibility in Fallout: New Vegas when AA is enabled, improves ALT+TAB compatibility in several games, adds new 3D Vision profiles, and changes the 3D Vision installation process. The driver package also contains the 9.10.0514 PhysX drivers.

AMD has released the Catalyst 10.10c Hotfix graphics driver for Windows Vista and 7. This driver provides OpenGL 4.1 beta support, Crossfire improvements for Dead Rising 2, Metro 2033, F1 2011 and Fallout: New Vegas, support for the new Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA) feature, as well as performance improvements in MLAA on the HD 6870 and HD 6850 cards.

Nvidia has released the Forceware 261.00 driver for Windows XP, Vista and 7. These drivers are a special release intended primarily for developers, providing support for the CUDA Toolkit 3.2 RC2, so they are best used for experimental purposes.

Thanks man, thought I'd posted them but obviously not.. These drivers can also be modded for the 5 and 4 series to enable 'morph AA'.

(Modified Inf files to enable MLAA for 5xxx and 4xxx (and possibly lower?))

Yep, I have. I didn't install because nothing mentioned applies to me or that I'm overly concerned with.

Great post though, as I'm sure others will be interested.

I can confirm this one installs and works very well for for my ASUS EAH5870 1Gb. DO NOT MOD IT. Just run and install.


To enable Morphologic AA + Texture Filterring Quality + Surface Format Optimization + Mipmap Option, I did:


1. Install Catalyst 10.10 Hotfix C

2. Reboot

3. Modify 13 values in these 2 registry branches:

What I have unlocked is this:





As you can see the Mipmap option is available too . : )


Now, for best quality I set:

- Mipmap -> Hiqh Quality
- Morpho -> On
- AA Edge-detect
+ UNCHECK Surface Format Optimization, with this unchecked the dynamic AA quality (when graphics move) is much better.

Glad to see you finally got it working for ya..

It seems that some do get access to the new settings straight away although if not either try the modded inf's or change the Registry key MLF_NA key and change it value to 0.

I could suppose they get unlocked straight away if one instalis 10.10c after the modded 10.10a. I could not install hotfix a, so installing hotfix c didn't automtically unlock the new settings for me.

Just MLF_NA is not it, you also need stuff like MLF_DEF and SurfaceFormatReplacements_DEF. Besides, you may want Mipmaps as well.

Anyway, do not use the same .inf for hotfix c - it'll mess it up, I tried. Hotfix c installs fine without changing the .inf' files. Then if you don't see the new features and you want them, moddify the reg.

Nice post..

Your right about the reg key MLF_NA and I should have mentioned that there are several of this type that need to be switched to 0. I did post the correct infs needed above somewhere. It seems 4 series users are having sporadic results with this set although I'll have more news on this later..

you'll notice theres now a A.P.P enhanced edition too which appears to be including an OpenCL feature for none graphical stuff (Physx style idea?? ) from what I can find about it.
