I have a 320gb hard drive, and just installed Windows 7 Professional to what I thought was a clean install, but to my suprise I still have the same amount of free space as I did with Vista. I booted from CD and did a custom install which I thought would clear off everything. I'm not sure the problem, I don't have any of the previous files, yet I don't have any of the space either. A little insight?
