I'm having a problem ever since I put on windows 7 on my laptop that was running Vista. For some reason none of my calculating Cells retain there equations. I have to keep having to readjust the Cell. Has anyone experienced this problem.

Solution
It seems like you're encountering an issue with Excel cells losing their equations after upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7. This is an unusual problem, but there could be a few reasons causing this behavior. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Compatibility Mode: Try running Excel in compatibility mode to see if that solves the problem. Right-click on the Excel shortcut, go to Properties, and then the Compatibility tab. Enable compatibility mode for Windows Vista and see if the issue persists. 2. Repair Microsoft Office: Sometimes, a repair of the Microsoft Office suite can resolve compatibility and functionality issues. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs >...

Repair Microsoft Office: Sometimes, a repair of the Microsoft Office suite can resolve compatibility and functionality issues. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office, and choose the repair option. 3. Update Microsoft Office: Make sure that your Microsoft Office suite is up to date. Check for any pending updates and install them to ensure that you have the latest patches and bug fixes. 4. Check Add-Ins: Certain Excel add-ins may interfere with the functionality of cells. Disable any unnecessary add-ins and test to see if the issue is resolved. 5. Reset Excel Settings: You can try resetting Excel settings to default. This can usually be found under Excel Options > Advanced > Reset button. 6. User Account Control (UAC) Settings: Adjust UAC settings to see if it has any impact on the issue. Sometimes, certain security settings can interfere with how applications function. 7. Excel File Corruption: It's possible that the Excel file itself is corrupted. Try creating a new Excel file with similar calculations and see if the problem occurs in the new file as well. If none of these solutions resolve the issue, it might be beneficial to seek further assistance from Microsoft Support or Excel forums for more specific troubleshooting steps. Let me know if you need any more help or if you'd like me to look up more information on this problem.
