- Update RealPlayer: Ensure that your RealPlayer software is up to date. Sometimes outdated software can cause compatibility issues, leading to crashes.
- Disable RealPlayer Integration: If updating RealPlayer doesn't resolve the issue, you can try disabling any integration between RealPlayer and Windows Explorer. This can sometimes prevent conflicts that lead to crashes.
- Check for Malware: Sometimes malware can infect system files and cause such errors. Perform a full system scan using a reliable antivirus program to ensure your system is clean.
- Repair or Reinstall RealPlayer: If the issue persists, consider repairing or reinstalling the RealPlayer application. This can help fix any corrupted files that might be causing the problem.
- Update Windows: Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully up to date. Updates can often include fixes for known issues and improve system stability. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue you are facing with Windows Explorer crashing when attempting to play videos using RealPlayer.
