Fan speed reduction and energie minimizing

Hi,

I run an ML110 HP server with Win 2019 server license on it.
The point is I do not use the server a lot. Perhaps twice a day as I have an ERP system running on it.
The rest of the time the server is iddle and does not need to do anything.

1. As I have it at home I need to reduce the noise and energy consumption. Energy is quite clear as I can chose energy saving plans, but I am not sure what the MINIMUM settings would be and what I have to consider.

2. Additionally I would like to have it more silent at night or after regular business hours, but I can not find anything in the preferences. The cooling fan is or whatever it is makes quite some noise as if the server would work hard.

3. Is it bad for a server to be turned on and off every day for when I need it? Or does it have to run all the time?

As I am no tech guy, please explain it a bit easy to understand for me :)

Thanks a lot!!!

Servers are generally always noisier than a user system and the fan will run as needed so not much you can adjust there. There is no harm and in fact would be beneficial to turn the server off in terms of having it last longer.
