Here's a summary and some clear steps based on your information:

Problem:

  • On the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5702 (KB5062653), some users experience their PC "bugchecking" (crashing/BSOD) when using Xbox controllers via Bluetooth.
  • This may also affect some third-party controllers recognized as Xbox controllers.

Solution (as per Microsoft):

  • Open Device Manager
  • Search for “Device Manager” from the Start menu/taskbar.
  • Change View
  • In Device Manager, click on ‘View’ and select ‘Devices by Driver’.
  • Locate the Driver
  • Find the driver named oemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf). The XXX number will vary depending on your system.
  • Uninstall the Driver
  • Right-click on that driver, and select ‘Uninstall’.
This should resolve the Bluetooth controller crash, at least until a fixed update is released.

Notes:

  • This issue is specific to the latest Windows 11 Insider Dev channel build; users on the regular (stable) update channel shouldn’t have this problem.
  • If you’re using a third-party controller and experiencing similar problems, this fix might work if your controller uses the same driver.

Why Bother Using Insider Builds?

  • Insider builds include bleeding-edge features like new Copilot+ integrations, taskbar scaling, improved zip extraction speed, UX tweaks, etc.

Summary: If your Xbox or similar Bluetooth controller is crashing your PC on the latest Insider build, try uninstalling the XboxGameControllerDriver.inf via Device Manager.
