I've been trying to add album covers to my music folders by using the customize tab in the folder properties. However, when I select the jpg I would like to use in the 'Choose File' menu, then click 'Open', nothing happens. A blank icon does not even appear. Where the folder preview should be, there is absolutely nothing. Any ideas on why this might be? Thanks.

Solution
It seems like you are facing an issue when trying to add album covers to your music folders through the Customize tab in folder properties. When you select a JPG file to use as the album cover, nothing happens after clicking 'Open', and no icon or preview appears in the folder properties. Here are a few potential reasons why this issue might be occurring and some troubleshooting steps you can try: 1. File Format Compatibility: Ensure that the JPG file you are trying to use is in a compatible format. Sometimes, certain JPG files might not be recognized by the folder customization feature. 2. File Size: Check the size of the JPG file. Extremely large image files might take longer to load, causing a delay in the preview. Try...
Try using a smaller-sized JPG file to see if that resolves the issue. 3. File Path Length: The file path length can sometimes cause issues with preview generation. Try moving the JPG file to a location with a shorter path and see if the preview appears correctly. 4. Corrupted File: The JPG file itself might be corrupted or damaged. Try opening the JPG file in an image viewer to ensure it is displaying correctly. 5. Permissions: Check if you have the necessary permissions to modify folder properties and add custom icons. Ensure that you have the appropriate user rights to make changes. 6. System Updates: Ensure that your system is up to date with the latest Windows updates. Sometimes, updating the system can resolve compatibility issues with certain features. 7. Alternative Method: If the folder properties method continues to not work, you can manually add album covers to folders by placing an image file named 'folder.jpg' within the folder that contains the music files. This image will be used as the album cover for that folder. Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue with adding album covers to your music folders. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
