One of the things I really MISS from XP is the lack of a Virtual Desktop manager -- if you have a load of applications running concurrently (on a 4/8/16GB system no reason not to have a load of concurrent applications) it's very difficult to keep track of them and the normal desktop gets horribly cluttered - especially on laptops with smaller screens.
Anyway a German guy has come up with one that more or less replicates the old XP powertoy Virtual desktop Manager. This one has some extra features (I'm not always in favour of "Extra features" when the base simplicity is allI need -- take horribly bloated NERO these days for example -- far removed from ehat it was good at --burning Data, and audio CD's / DVD's but the "extra features" don't bloat the basic functionality --switching desktops easily.
