Hey guys i got a new dell vastro 470 last year and i upgraded the hdd to a SSD Kingston Hyper X 240g.
so at first i had issues with crashing frequently and on reboot black screen with pls select boot device...
so dell and MS troubleshooted and said it was my motherboard sata 0 that was defect..
so the next day(yes the next day..) dell replaced my motherboard and it seemed to have fixed the issue.
now, once in a while i get a freeze up especially on Facebook, blue screen critical process failed..
on boot that same please select boot device.. appears??i go in the bios and see that the system see's my SSD and all the rest ,before they replaced my motherboard when it use to crash i could not see the ssd ..
so the odd thing is that if i unplug the ssd and place it on another sata port it boots no issue!it's like if windows blocked that port...
im thinking it's my ssd?or just windows 8 with it's issues...
i attached the zip file of the diag.

The first thing is to turn Driver Verifier off.
Then you try this stuff (one at a time):
Then you try this stuff (one at a time):
As you've noticed, the memory dumps are related to your video. If turning off Driver Verifier doesn't help, then there are several other things to try:
- checking the video card to ensure that it has power, that it's cooling fan is running, and that the cooler isn't clogged up with dirt/dust/hairballs
- removing all video drivers to see if the system continues to crash
- installing the drivers only to see if it's the add-on programs that are causing the problems (instructions here: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure )
- installing older video drivers to see if that causes a crash (in case these drivers...

It looks like you have 3 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?
The BSOD blames networking components. This could either be your wired or wireless connection - or even could be internet aware programs such as your Norton 360.
I would suggest:
1) Update your wired and wireless drivers to the latest available, Win8 compatible versions. If you already have the most updated versions - please download a fresh copy, uninstall the current one, and then install the fresh copy.
2) Do this to rule out the Norton:
Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free anti-virus for testing purposes: Link Removed If using Windows 8, enable Windows Defender and the Windows Firewall instead.
- un-install the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free anti-virus (if using Win8, enable Windows Defender), then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- perform a full system scan to ensure that no malware has snuck onto your system while the anti-virus was malfunctioning.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.

Just FYI - the driver that's causing the problem is the ATI Function Driver for HD Audio Service. As such, it's possible that there's a problem with the Audio portion of the video card.
First thing is to turn Driver Verifier off (and see if that stops the BSOD's). To do this, open up verifier.exe and select "Delete existing settings", then click on "Finish". Reboot for the changes to take effect.
- installing older video drivers to see if that causes a crash (in case these drivers are causing problems
- installing the drivers only to see if it's the add-on programs that are causing the problems (instructions here: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure )
- trying another video card (DO NOT buy a new one unless you can get your money back if you wish to return it).
Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

The first thing is to turn Driver Verifier off.

Then you try this stuff (one at a time):
As you've noticed, the memory dumps are related to your video. If turning off Driver Verifier doesn't help, then there are several other things to try:
- checking the video card to ensure that it has power, that it's cooling fan is running, and that the cooler isn't clogged up with dirt/dust/hairballs
- removing all video drivers to see if the system continues to crash
- installing the drivers only to see if it's the add-on programs that are causing the problems (instructions here: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure )
- installing older video drivers to see if that causes a crash (in case these drivers are causing problems
- trying another video card (DO NOT buy a new one unless you can get your money back if you wish to return it).
