From Vista to Windows 7: Office 2003 compatibility
Hi,
I have a Compaq dual-core notebook with Vista Home Basic as operating system: needless to say, I have been experiencing performance problems since the early months after the purchase (2007).
I expanded its RAM capability up to 2 GB (the maximum allowed) but it's still slow: working with more than a couple of applications often causes errors and Internet browsing is sometimes jerky.
I'm thinking of upgrading to WIndows 7 but I'm concerned about its compatibility with Office 2003 Professional: I have the Standard Pack 3 and I use it for work and study (I'm busy with Microsoft Office Specialist Certification and I need a fully functional pc to complete it in a reasonable time).
Ditto for Acrobat Reader/Professional which I use extensively for converting .doc files into attachable pdfs.
What should I expect from the upgrade? Should I wait some more, at least until SP1 will be released? Suggestions?
Thank you for the kind help!
Paolo
