Windows 7 Generic icons for photos. How change?

I am just starting to use Windows 7 Home Edition in a Toshiba netbook.

When I view a folder containing photos, such as, jpg, bmp, TIF etc. photos, the icons of the photos are generic and not images of the photos themselves.

Is there any way to get the icon for a particular photo to show the photo itself rather than a generic image determined by Windows?

Thanks.
Richard

Open a folder with pictures, click the arrow next to the 'Views' button, and then move the slider to change the size of the thumbnails. Also, in control panel > folder options > view, set to "Always show icons, never thumbnails."
