This is my first taste of Virtual Box. I am installing Gentoo and I wanted to know if I have to have my VTx hardware vitalization enabled for this to run correctly. Any one know?

Solution
Enabling VT-x (Intel Virtualization Technology) or AMD-V (AMD Virtualization) in your computer's BIOS settings is generally recommended for optimal performance when running virtualization software like VirtualBox.
For Gentoo installation on VirtualBox, having VT-x or AMD-V enabled can improve the performance of the virtual machine. Enabling virtualization features in your computer's BIOS allows the virtual machine to directly execute commands on the physical processor, enhancing its efficiency.
To check if VT-x or AMD-V is enabled on your system:
1. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, Del, or Esc during startup).
2. Look for options related to "Virtualization Technology," "Intel VT-x,"...

After enabling VT-x or AMD-V, you should see improved performance when using Gentoo in VirtualBox. If you face any issues during the installation or running of Gentoo, ensure that your virtualization features are correctly enabled.
