More information about Hot fix drivers:

A GeForce driver is an incredibly complex piece of software, We have an army of software engineers constantly adding features and fixing bugs. These changes are checked into the main driver branches, which are eventually run through a massive QA process and released.

Since we have so many changes being checked in, we usually try to align driver releases with significant game or product releases. This process has served us pretty well over the years but it has one significant weakness. Sometimes a change that is important to many users might end up sitting and waiting until we are able to release the driver.

The GeForce Hotfix driver is our way to trying to get some of these fixes out to you more quickly. These drivers are basically the same as the previous released version, with a small number of additional targeted fixes. The fixes that make it in are based in part on your feedback in the Driver Feedback threads and partly on how realistic it is for us to quickly address them. These fixes (and many more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which time the Hotfix driver will be taken down.

To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process. The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out.

These HotFix drivers represent a lot of additional work by our engineering teams, I hope they provide value for you. We’ll try it out and see if people like the idea and want us to continue.
We can't fix your bug if we can't reproduce it. Please provide as much details as possible including specs, steps to reproduce, graphics settings used, etc..

For GeForce driver issues, please leave feedback in driver feedback form: Driver Feedback

For GeForce Now PC issues, please fill out feedback form below:
GFN PC Feedback

For SHIELD Android TV issues/requests, please leave feedback in the SHIELD feedback form: SHIELD Feedback

Well! I like to use Drivery updater to update all kinds of my Windows drivers. You can also use it and take it experience.

We do not recommend apps which auto update drivers for you. They have just as much chance of installing the wrong driver as they do installing the right one.

Detailed Description
WARNING: Failure to follow the guidance below may result in system instability

These new drivers labeled as Windows DCH graphics drivers are not backward compatible with our previous graphics drivers that we're now labeling Legacy. This means if later you want to revert to a Legacy driver you will need to uninstall the driver via Windows Apps and Features and reboot the system before installing a Legacy driver. Failure to do so may result in minor to catastrophic issues on your system as well as system instability.

DO NOT use the INF / Have-Disk method to install or uninstall this driver as it bypasses the Intel installer designed to install these new drivers, thereby possibly resulting in minor to major system instability. For this reason, we're not providing the ZIP file for the next several driver releases while users transition to this new Microsoft driver platform.

For more information about DCH drivers, read here.

If you have read this and would like to download the driver for install, please go here.

  • Rainbow Six Siege™ may experience intermittent corruption or flickering on some game textures during gameplay.
  • DOTA™2 VR may experience stutter on some HMD devices when using the Vulkan® API.
  • Mouse cursors may disappear or move out of the boundary of the top of a display on AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics.
  • Performance metrics overlay and Radeon WattMan gauges may experience inaccurate fluctuating readings on AMD Radeon VII..
Added Vulkan® Support
  • VK_EXT_depth_clip_enable
    • This extension allows the depth clipping operation, that is normally implicitly controlled by the driver to be controlled explicitly by the application instead. This is useful for translating Direct3D content, which assumes depth clamping is always enabled, but depth clip can be controlled by the DepthClipEnable rasterization state.
  • VK_EXT_memory_priority
    • This extension allows applications to set a priority value at memory allocation time, which could be used to determine which allocations are more likely to remain in device local memory if heap limits are reached.
  • VK_EXT_memory_budget
    • This extension adds support for querying the amount of memory used and the total memory budget for a memory heap.
  • VK_KHR_vulkan_memory_model
    • This extension formally defines how to synchronize memory accesses to the same memory locations performed by multiple shader invocations.
  • VK_EXT_debug_utils
    • This extension allows developers to obtain more debug information. When combined with validation layers, more detailed feedback on the application's use of Vulkan can be further obtained.
  • VK_KHR_depth_stencil_resolve
    • This extension adds support for automatically resolving multisampled depth/stencil attachments in a subpass in a similar manner as for color attachments.
  • VK_KHR_shader_float16_int8
    • This extension allows use of 16-bit floating-point types and 8-bit integer types in shaders for arithmetic operations and improves usability of those types by adding implicit conversions.
  • VK_EXT_transform_feedback
    • This extension adds transform feedback to the Vulkan API by exposing the SPIR-V TransformFeedback and GeometryStreams capabilities to capture vertex, tessellation or geometry shader outputs to one or more buffers.
Footnotes
  • Testing conducted by AMD Performance Labs as of March 12, 2019 8GB Radeon™ VII, on a test system comprising of Intel i7 7700K CPU (4.2 GHz), 16GB DDR4 memory, and Windows 10x64PC manufacturers may vary configurations, yielding different results. While running Sid Meier's Civilization 6 on Ultra presets at 4k (3840 x 2160 pixels) Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.3.2 scored 75.7 FPS, while Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.3 scored 72.7 FPS. Therefore, in the above comparison, Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.3.2 shows 4% greater performance, in Sid Meier's Civilization 6. All scores are an average of 3 runs with the same settings. Performance may vary based on use of latest drivers. RS-288
