Nvidia release GeForce Hotfix Driver 451.85 (Released 7/24/20)

Announcing GeForce Hotfix Driver 451.85 (Released 7/24/20)

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 451.85 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 451.67.
This Hotfix driver resolves the following issues:
  • [Shadow of the Tomb Raider][DirectX 12]: The game may crash when launched with Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling enabled.
  • [Death Stranding]: Texture corruption may be observed during gameplay on GeForce GTX 16/RTX 20 series GPUs
  • NVIDIA Control Panel does not display the native resolution of some HDTVs with invalid timings
  • Some games may exhibit random freezes that lasts for a few seconds during gameplay.
  • Some displays may show a green tint when Windows Night Light is enabled
  • [Forza Motorsport 7]: Game starts to stutter after racing a few laps
  • [G-Sync Compatible] Adds support for the Samsung 27" Odyssey G7 gaming monitor
It can be accessed here: GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 451.85 | NVIDIA
A GeForce driver is an incredibly complex piece of software, We have an army of software engineers constantly adding features and fixing bugs. These changes are checked into the main driver branches, which are eventually run through a massive QA process and released.
Since we have so many changes being checked in, we usually try to align driver releases with significant game or product releases. This process has served us pretty well over the years but it has one significant weakness. Sometimes a change that is important to many users might end up sitting and waiting until we are able to release the driver.
The GeForce Hotfix driver is our way to trying to get some of these fixes out to you more quickly. These drivers are basically the same as the previous released version, with a small number of additional targeted fixes. The fixes that make it in are based in part on your feedback in the Driver Feedback threads and partly on how realistic it is for us to quickly address them. These fixes (and many more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which time the Hotfix driver will be taken down.
To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process. The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out.
These HotFix drivers represent a lot of additional work by our engineering teams, I hope they provide value for you. We’ll try it out and see if people like the idea and want us to continue.

I wonder if there's a way to reverse order these type of update threads? Some new people might not understand why there's 64 pages?
Just food for thought, could also break the continuity that advanced users have of the site. Anyhow keep up the good work kemical!

Thanks Josephur! :) Definitely a good idea, perhaps Mike know's if this is possible?

Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.9.2 Release Notes

Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.9.2 Highlights

Support For

  • STAR WARS™: Squadrons

Added Vulkan™ Support

  • VK_KHR_buffer_device_address
    • This extension is used to query the device address of a buffer to allow for shader access to that buffer’s storage via the SPV_KHR_physical_storage_buffer SPIRV extension.
  • VK_EXT_robustness2
