Hi there,

I've had a custom PC for about 2-2 1/2 years now and ever since about 2 years ago I've been getting BSOD's. They usually occur after restarting my computer. It happens about 2 or 3 times then my computer I guess warms up and doesn't do it anymore. It sometimes occurs when I try to install updates. Everything that is in the "How to post a BSOD problem" post is in the attached folder. I have a Gigabyte motherboard and 4 sticks of 4GB corsair RAM. Intel 3930k processor, and AMD 7970 video card. Let me know if you have any more questions and thanks SO much for helping me out! Again, all of the info needed should be in the attached folder ;).

Hi,
looking the many dump files the vast majority are like the above which means that either a driver or hardware failure is causing corruption to the kernel or related data.
Check Windows isn't corrupted by finding Command prompt, right clicking on it and running as admin. Type:
sfc /scannow
Press enter and await results.

Drivers

If after making the above changes you still get the bsod then you need to test your RAM.
Windows does have it's own memory testing app but it can often miss errors and the best app for the job is Memtest86. The latest version of which can be found here:
http://www.memtest.org/

To run Memtest86 you need to either burn a copy of it to disk or use a USB stick. If you look down the page you'll eventually find the latest version and it's associated downloads. If your burning to disk choose the pre-compiled iso zip. If your using a USB method then the corresponding download is the auto installer for a USB stick.
Once you have Memtest86 on the media you selected you'll then need to enter your bios and change the boot order so that the machine will boot from either the disk or stick you have Memtest86 on.
Run the test for at least 12hrs if possible unless it becomes clear that there is a issue. If there is a problem with the RAM you'll see the errors pop up in red so you can't miss them.

Post any new dump files after updating.

Thank you SO much! I really appreciate it. I'm in the process of doing all of this! Thanks thanks thanks!

Your very welcome. If the bsod still occurs then please post the new dump file.
