Windows Vista help with vista and messenger

hi sorry if this is in the wrong place, bu ti really need help,

'v installed windows lve messenger onto my comp, when i sign in it askes me to install adobe flash, but when i do it doesn't seem to reckognise that i ahve and asks me again everytime i sgn in,

also, once i have patched messenger, it says its stopped working when is ign in!

please help.
