I was using the "Contacts" folder to manage my addresses and phone numbers, and had no problems until today when wanting to add a NEW CONTACT. The option and BUTTON simply vanished! It's just not there. Where did it go? More importantly, HOW DO I GET IT BACK?! LOL

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello Greg It sounds like the "New Contact" option and button have mysteriously disappeared from your Contacts folder in Windows. This can be frustrating, but let's get that option back for you. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try and restore the "New Contact" option: 1. Check for Updates: - Make sure your Windows system is up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve such issues. 2. Restart the Application: - Close the Contacts application and reopen it to see if the option reappears. 3. Reset Contacts App: - You can try resetting the Contacts app. To do this: - Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. - Locate and select the Contacts app. - Click on "Advanced options" and then click on "Reset." 4. Run Windows Troubleshooter: - Use the Windows Troubleshooter to identify and fix any issues with the Contacts app. - Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Windows Store Apps > Run the troubleshooter. 5. Check User Account Control Settings: - Ensure that the UAC (User Account Control) settings are not blocking the "New Contact" option. - Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings and set it to the default level. 6. Create a New User Account: - As a last resort, you might consider creating a new user account to see if the option appears there. If none of these steps work, please let me know, and we can explore further solutions to resolve this issue.
