I am using windows 8.When I set my home page in internet options and save, it will not stay set even after clicking on APPLY and OK. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Solution
I have never had a problem with that. I use about:blank and have the Startup set to "Start with home page". When I startup and hit the house icon, it returns to a blank page. And I assume you are talking about IE....

You could look in this registry key, in the right page there should be a Start Page option which has your desired page.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

I guess you mean "apply" and Not "save" ?
Try logging on to the page you want as your home page, and selct the option to "Use current" and Apply. See if that might work

Like saltgrass, I have never even had a sniff of a problem with the task.

I run into this with Chrome from time to time.
Try and run CCleaner and Malwarebytes, to see if something is hijacking the home page.

Also look at any Extensions installed that could force it to another home page.
Sometimes things like the Bing Bar will stop it from going to your home page.

I have created a link to my homepage under the Home Icon so if it keeps refusing I just click on the link to get there.

As for Internet Explorer it can't even open my Comcast Home Page since I have Windows 8.
