Windows 7 How do I become a successful professional programmer ?

I am 22 Yrs
University student
Specialist software development and programming (software engineer)

Frankly I'm trying with all my energy to be a professional programmer and successful programming considered my inspiration and my Goal
But I still feel I am a newbie and weak programmer , although I made a number of programs ( VB.NET language ) which met with applause several


But I ask you to help me to be a professional programmer

I'm a fellow VB.NET programmer myself, love the language. However my advice if your going to make this your profession is to also learn C# and/or Java (I despise Java but that's a personal preference).

I learn best from example code, and "hacking" at code, however there are also great books out there.. but my best resource was always the MSDN Library.
