Where do I go in Windows 7 to find out what graphic card I have and if it needs to be updated. I remember on Windows xp you use to could just right click your desktop and go to properties.

Thanks!

Go to Start > Run, and type msinfo32 ,. and expand the Compo nets section ands look under Sound Device

Windows 7 should automatically find and install the proper drivers from Windows Update.

However to find out, another way of doing this would be Start > Run > type "dxdiag" [without the quotes] and press enter. Allow it to check for WHQL signatures, then click on the "Display" tab on the top. The "Chip Type" is your card.

To find out all hardware and software information about your computer, I suggest you run Belarc Advisor:

Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit

I have been using it since the XP days. It works great. Runs fine on WINDOWS 7.
