Assume I enabled auto-update resp. search manually for updates of my 64bit Win 7 Pro system.
How can I exclude certain updates (e.g. KB3035583 as one example) forever from being installed?
Is there an exclusion list file which is accepted by built-in Windows Update Service?

Solution
When the update is presented you should be able to right click it and choose hide update.
That's what I did with that particular update.
After reserving my copy of Windows 10, I uninstalled that update, checked for updates again, then hid the update on my Windows 8 machine.
Seems to be working and it's still there under "Restore hidden updates" should I want to put it back.
