Windows Vista How to find out who else is using my wifi using certain software?

This last few days my net has become really slow in the mornings until 9 or 10 pm then it gets back to its original speed so i thinking that some one else might be using my wifi , i do have a password on my wifi but just to be on the safe side is there some kinda software that would tell me all the people who are connected to my wifi and maybe block them or kick them of my wifi network?

Hi.

Open the router's configuration page. It will show you all the connections made to the router.

The address depends on which router it is as they're all different.

Try these links for one that works:

http://192.168.1.1

http://192.168.0.1

http://192.168.10.1

http://192.168.1.10

If none work, look in your router manual for the correct address.

If you actually find someone connected, please let us know so I can help you with proper security.

The 1st link worked got my to my wifi page with the : quick setup , network , wireless , DHCP and so on. So now what do i do ? as in how to see who else is connected

As I was saying above, all routers are different. Most have a Status tab then a Wireless section to check. If yours doesn't have that, then you can look in your router manual for something similar to check.

Or just click all different things in the router webpage to find the connections shown.

If you still need some help, tell us the router model and perhaps I can have a look at the online manual for it.

My router is Aztech and i think my model is WL830RT4 AZTV1.0 081520C2 not sure about that cause it says Hardware version: WL830RT4 AZTV1.0 081520C2

A simple way of seeing who's using your wifi is to simply open a command prompt. start-button, type CMD in the searc box and hit enter. In the command prompt type:"net view" without the " " and wait for it to work. You will get a list, if any of all computers logged on to your wifi.

Nirsoft makes a wireless network watcher http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_network_watcher.html That shows everything going through router. Even things not part of the network liker Play Station and Wi .
