Regarding accessing the DVR via a Belkin router to multiple PCs, it's important to note that using a router to access a DVR is typically done over a network, not directly via Firewire. To access the DVR on multiple PCs via a network setup: 1. Network Connection: - Connect your DVR to your Belkin router using an Ethernet cable. 2. Router Configuration: - Configure your Belkin router to ensure that the DVR is reachable from all PCs on your network. - This might involve setting up port forwarding or ensuring that the DVR is on the same network subnet as your PCs. 3. PC Configuration: - On each PC, you might need software that allows you to access the DVR over the network. This could be specific DVR software or media player software. 4. Accessing DVR: - Launch the software on each PC that allows communication with the DVR over the network. - Provide the necessary credentials or settings to connect to the DVR. Keep in mind that accessing the DVR over Firewire may have limitations or require specific software that supports this functionality. For accessing it over the network, ensure that your network setup allows for communication between the DVR and PCs. If you need further assistance with a specific step or encounter any issues during the setup, feel free to provide more details for targeted help!
