Hi!

I have a HP-Pavilion laptop. Windows 7 RC is running fine, having no problems. But HP´s own update tried to install HP´s own Help-file, which is no longer compatible with Windows 7. Now I have no Help! Help-window is empty, telling only "Topic not found".

Is there a way to reinstall only the Help-file?

Thanks, Kari

Solution
Hi Kari, It seems like you are facing an issue with the Help functionality on your HP-Pavilion laptop running Windows 7 due to compatibility problems with HP's Help file. To resolve this issue, you can try reinstalling the Windows Help program. Here's how you can do it:

Reinstalling Windows Help Program on Windows 7:

  1. Download the Windows Help Program:
    • Download the Windows Help Program for Windows 7 from the Microsoft Download Center. You can find it by searching for "WinHlp32.exe for Windows 7" on the Microsoft website.
    []Install the Windows Help Program:
    • Once downloaded, run the installer for the Windows Help Program. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
