Windows 7 How To Script Error, ReDirect, Audio Virus

Hello, my name is Tommie Green. I am a filmmaker from Detroit, MI. This is not the first time that I have come to this site for advice over the years, but this IS the first thread that I have ever posted on the site's forums.

I have malware I think. Every minute or so, Script Errors pop up. Sometimes I hear advertisements with no video to match. And in major search engines like Yahoo or Google, I am redirected to other knock-off search engines, not the necessarily the same one each time.

I've already purchased some supposed revolutionary program called ReImage. I've scanned w/ Norton, SpyBoy Search and Destroy and ComboFix. All to no avail. Is there anyone that can offer any further advice? Thank you!

Edit: The title was supposed to be: "How To Stop Malware? Script Error, ReDirect, Audible Ad"
Forgot to spell check. Sorry!

Does this only happen with a browser window open, or at random times with nothing else going on?

Do you see any weird tool bars or have you checked the add-ons for any suspicious outliers?

In addition to the utilities mentioned, I also like Hijack This for some circumstances. You will probably have to attach a log to see if anyone recognizes anything. But this is usually associated with Browser problems.

When I check the audio to see where the sounds are coming from, it says Internet Explorer, but I NEVER use IE, I use FireFox. But it happens all while I'm on the computer regardless. No strange toolbars.

I just ran Avast. Scanned my computer for like 6 hours, but the Malware is still the same.
About to run Hitman Pro

Just ran HitMan Pro to no avail. The results read:
"No threats found. Number of scanned files: 55371. Total scan time: 19m 23s. Number of identified traces: 184"
About to run MalwareBytes

Just ran MalwareBytes. Malware still there. They gave me a log though:

"Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.50.1.1100

I never received a resolution. My computer is still infected heavily w/ malware. Windows Installer won't update. The font on FireFox is all bugged out and I can't use it. SOMETHING is stopping WiFi devices from accessing my computer like iTunes app 'Remote'. Some one please help, it's been weeks. Thank you!

You have a lot of "Stuff" on your system. Did you do a repair install and have a Windows.old from that or from an upgrade?

After those 2 infected files were found and "removed" have you seen any other infections?

If you are being redirected on line, it is probably one of the BHO (Browser Helper Objects). You have so many, it is hard to tell where to start. Can you get rid of some, like the Yahoo (O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
). You have spybot and Norton running at the same time, and I have no idea what all the Adobe stuff is.

Basically you need to clean your system. Hijack This may not be able to get into the Hosts file (Windows\System32\Drivers\etc). You might want to open it with Notepad. Attach a picture if you want, but mine has no entries not preceeded by a #.

But if you want to try to save it, there are programs that will tell you whay might be running. Both Autoruns and Process Explorer from Sysinternals will help track down what might be going on. Autoruns will allow you to see everything being started on your system, and Process Explorer will change colors when something starts up, so if a window pops up, you might be able to tell what is starting it. There is also a target you can put over a window and it will show what process is starting it.

You are going to have to track this down yourself. I might recognize some things, but you have quite a few to check.

Yes.

What 2 files?

How?

You have spybot and Norton running at the same time
I uninstalled SpyBot.

Both Autoruns and Process Explorer from Sysinternals will help track down what might be going on.
So what after I run this?
What after Sysinternals?

What 2 files?

HiJack This will remove if you check one for removal. You might also look at the browser add-ons to see if you can disable it there.

So what after I run this?
What after Sysinternals?
These are programs that watch your system. You can watch current events with Process Explorer, or keep a log of events with Process Monitor. But you will have to set up Process Monitor to make the log. I will help, if I can, to analyze the log, but this part is up to you. The closer you can pin down when events occur, the smaller the log will be... It might be easier for you to use a trial and error method of not starting some options to see if it quits.

Autoruns will allow you to shutdown programs that are starting you may not be able to see with MSconfig.exe. There are instructional areas on the site to explain how to use these utilities. For Instance, if a window pops up and Process Explorer is running, you can use the target to find out what process opened the window. Then you can look inside the process to see what thread within the process might actually be responsible. Up to you ......

Hey guys. Yesterday, I restareted my comp and it did something I've never seen. The theme went classic, the brightness went so dim it was almost impossible to see, the internet stopped working along w/ every program on my computer including the audio devices. It was a vegetable, so I just reinstalled Windows 7. No more virus. Thanks to everyone for your efforts, but you can wrap this one up :)
