I'm having this annoying issue for quite some time now and I wanted to ask all good folks here how to set up a write protection on a specific file or folder which is saved on external USB drive (namely, a phone) ?
Files in a certain folder are showing up by themselves and take a ridiculously lot of space and I want to prevent their creation and modification.
Trying to mark them as read-only didn't work, neither did the format of a drive. Tried to substitute them with another files and mark them with read-only files, didn't work either. Tried all of that on different computer and Windows (XP and 7), didn't work.
So I need a way to prevent the file/folder to do anything (just for the note, it isn't a vital file/folder).
