Hi everyone, I'm using a Dell XPS 15 9570 and I'm trying to partition my C: drive but I'm facing an issue with storage. Even though I have more than 90GB free, every time I try to partition the disk I'm given only 2GB to work with.

I've cleared up temporary files and scanned for viruses but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Solution
From a normally booted and running machine:

Press Win + I key on the keyboard.
Go to Update & Security
Select Recovery.

Look in the advanced startup section

Click on the Restart Now button which will display all recovery options.
The message tells you why. Boot to the install disc or recovery console and then you can shrink it

Hi Neemobeer, I'm sorry I don't understand. I need to partition it from the recovery console? How?
