Windows 7 I have this problem occuring with Foxit Reader and Firefox

When I'm using Firefox, my Foxit Reader has been randomly popping the sign 'can't read the PDF file' when I haven't been trying to read any PDF files, especially when I'm clicking the "Apply" button in Indeed.com. I don't know how to fix this problem.

Because of this problem I tend to avoid FF and use IE, but IE has another problem: it doesn't change the home default website as I tell it to.

I have edited the original post.

I have tried to use Opera too but that has its own problems. I can't go to tab number # when I press CTRL + #. Instead, it goes to bookmark number #.

The FoxIt Reader error pops up whenever I am on Amazon and looking at a product. And Indeed when I click on a job. It pops up 5 times so that I have to click OK five times.
