Windows 7 IE 9 browser problem with default webpage

recently i installed BIT DEFENDER 2013 everything was going alright before, but after installation of BD my browser does not allow me to set home page of my own. every time i provide browser name to be set default it redirects to blank page automatically. what should i do as it is very irritating to type address name time and again in the address bar.

It sounds like a problem with bit Defender. Did you check their forum?

Try disabling all Bit Defender protection and see if you can change it after that. If you can, turn the features back on one by one and change the homepage again. When you find the feature that resets the homepage, see what you can change for options.
