Windows 7 IE8 Not connecting but mozzila is. SOLVED (I think)

In an earlier post i said that I was having problems wiht IE8. I think i've found a solution!

1) Start up internet explorer.
2)Go to Options>Tools From the menu bar
3)Select connections
4) Click Setup
5) It will say 'You are already connected to the internet'
6) Click 'Browse the internet now'
7) IT SHOULD WORK (It did for me)

PS:This also workd if windows live isn't connecting and if other programs are displaying 'This program cannot display the webpage'

I tried the suggestions, but couldn't get it to work. I did fix the issue by resetting IE8 settings to default.
