Hey! If your pc is suffering from no sound or soundmax card/driver is not being recognised, all you have to do is to install DirectX 9 November 2008. Cheers!

(Edit) Nope instaling Dx9c does nothing on my P4P800 SE and Windows 7

Lol, it's true. Windows 7, live Vista, doesn't include a full version of DX9.
Also, Windows 7 only has a shell version of DX10.
