Internet disconnecting when playing codmw2 windows 7

    hi,
    im having a problem where when im playing cod online with my friends and the internet disconnects.
    it will then reconnect and work normal for X amount of time then do it again. 10 mins later sometimes, or just the day after.

    i have a router and the other computers on the network seem to work fine.

    First of course, check and see if there are any patches that update you version of COD. Then check here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and check if there are any updates for your Network adapter. Check your router manufacturer's website and see if there are any firmware updates for you version of firmware on the router. There's a few other things you can try but let us know if you've had any luck with the above steps first.

    EDIT: Are you receiving any information when this occurs. Our are there any notices in the event viewer regarding this problems?

    Hi and welcome to the forums, darbyshaun. :)

    To see if the problem is Steam related, switch it to offline, start the game. See if your internet stays connected when you play the game with Steam offline.
