First of all I did not change anything to the system.

I use windows 7. 2 GB RAM E6400 Processor 250 GB IDE harddisk

Now my Internet explorer can't seem to download properly...

When I go to speedtest.net the screen won't load.
When I try to download ANY file when the usual windows pop ups where to save it it says, Unable to download file xxxx from xxx Unable to open this Internet Site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.
I can't upload a screenshot of it to ImageShack® - Image Hosting Since for some reason I can't see the button Browse for image.
I have this MMO game Combat Arms which needs to update in order to start, and it always says an error occured. ( don't know if that is related)

NOW the fact is Firefox works just fine!!!

What is the problem and what can I do about it?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply's guys.
Youtube doesn't work the videos area is black without interface buttons.
And xvideos porn site videos are flash/shockwave I just see white, no video at all.
I tried the reset thingy, didn't work.
What exactly do you mean with turn off and on internet explorer? close and open? xD

Isn't there a way to re-install or repair IE8?

Maybe this Hijackthis log helps?

As you can see nvidia has nothing to do with IE
Reset settings didn't do anything.
And i checked the other link and IE is not available for download for win7 only vista and xp and they say you can't use that....

Not sure what else I can do.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

For some reason the thing what was broken or whatever suddenly this morning works again.

Weird... Hope it's a one time glitch.

sounds very much like a flash player issue

You might want to check out Adobe Flash Player website -- all the symptoms you described are very much a flash player corruption issue. You should try doing a clean uninstall of flash player then a clean install. Check their support area for the uninstall .exe file that will remove all their debris from IE8 then do a fresh install.

The reason you might have experienced a 'fix' is if you have auto updates on - a new update might have overwritten your corrupt file.
