Okay I have no clue what is going on. I was setting up a ad-hoc network so I can use my iPod via wi-fi. It used to work, but now it doesn't. Now for some reason my iPod will not get the router or dns numbers, but will get an IP Address and Subnet mask. I've tried disabling the wifi adapter and enabling it turning off ipod and turning it back on. I've tried the diagnose this connect and nothing is fixing it. Before hand, when I setup a ad-hoc connection, after it sets up the connection it would take me to a next step where it I click, "Turn Internet Sharing On" but now it doesn't take me to it. If I go into Network Connections I have my wireless connection in there which is, "Unidentified Network, Shared" What gives?

It seems like you are experiencing connectivity issues with your ad-hoc network setup for your iPod. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem: 1. Check Network Settings: - Verify that the network settings on your iPod are correct. Make sure the IP address and subnet mask are in the correct range for your network. 2. Reset Network Settings on iPod: - On your iPod, try resetting the network settings to see if it resolves the issue. This can sometimes fix connectivity problems. 3. Restart Devices: - Restart both your computer and iPod. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. 4. Check Firewall Settings: - Ensure that your firewall settings are not blocking...

Check Firewall Settings: - Ensure that your firewall settings are not blocking connectivity between devices on the ad-hoc network. 5. Reconfigure Ad-Hoc Network: - Delete the existing ad-hoc network setup on your computer and recreate it. Make sure to set it up as per the requirements of your iPod. 6. Update Network Drivers: - Update the drivers for your wireless network adapter on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause connectivity issues. 7. Internet Connection Sharing: - Make sure that Internet Connection Sharing is correctly configured on your computer to share the internet connection with the ad-hoc network. 8. Verify Router and DNS Settings: - Double-check the router and DNS settings on your computer to ensure that the correct information is being provided to your iPod. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be beneficial to seek assistance from a technical support representative or an IT professional who can further diagnose and fix the problem.
