We are working in a homegroup of 5 comps. My problem is all of a sudden pictures i am receiving from 1 computer http://www.sevenforums.com/#downstairs are all blocked for my safety because they have come from another computer. I have to individually click properties on each pic and unblock them 1 at a time. The 2 comps concerned are both running windows 7 professional, and we are all shared. The transfer is fine, it just won't let me open them for editing

. Everthing was fine a fortnight ago. Feel sure there must be a tick missing in some settings somewhere just can't seem to find it

Many thanks for any help given.

It sounds like your issue with blocked pictures from another computer in your homegroup on Windows 7 Professional might be related to the security settings and permissions. To resolve this, you can try the following steps: 1. Check HomeGroup Settings: - Make sure that all computers are part of the same HomeGroup. - Verify that sharing permissions are correctly set up for the HomeGroup. 2. Adjust File Security Settings: - Right-click on the folder containing the blocked images. - Go to "Properties" and then the "Security" tab. - Check the permissions granted to the HomeGroup users and ensure they have appropriate access. 3. Unblock Files: - If individual pictures are blocked, you can unblock them in bulk by: - Selecting...

Unblock Files: - If individual pictures are blocked, you can unblock them in bulk by: - Selecting all pictures. - Right-clicking and choosing "Properties." - In the General tab, if there is an "Unblock" button, click it to unblock all selected files at once. 4. Disable Attachment Manager: - Type "gpedit.msc" in the Start menu and press Enter. - Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager. - Double-click on "Do not preserve zone information in file attachments" and select "Enabled." - Click Apply and OK. 5. Check Internet Explorer Security Settings: - Open Internet Explorer. - Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security tab. - Set the security level for the Internet zone to Medium-Low. 6. Disable Protected View: - Open Microsoft Office applications. - Go to File > Options > Trust Center. - Click on Trust Center Settings and uncheck the "Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments" option. By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of blocked pictures from another computer in your HomeGroup on Windows 7 Professional.
