laptop, touch pad icon

hello there
The touch pad icon in the notification area, is that ok to uncheck in msconfig, i am quite happy with the setting it already has, which would be the default setting.

If you did that wouldn't it turn it off? Or is that what you want?

No i just wanted to remove the icon, from the notification area, not turn the touch pad off, is there a way to do that. :)

Usually you can turn them off.. Have you tried right-clicking on the actual icon? See what options that brings up.. Also check your start menu or control panel for more options to do with the touch pad and you may find a setting to turn the taskbar icon off.
