In this week's episode of Data Exposed, Scott welcomes back Asad Khan, Principle PM on the HDInsight team. Today Asad shows us how easy it is to use 3rd party BI tools like Tableau to do data analysis for better insights into your data. This episode focuses on Tableau and we begin the episode by looking at Spark on HDInsight and the key differentiators it provides, including BI for visual exploration of your data. Asad then jumps into demo mode and shows us how easy it is to provision a Spark cluster. He then shows how easy it is to connect Tableau to the Spark cluster to start visualizing your data.

Technology and Friends, Episode 358: Red Lanterns on Kinect and Python


At Purdue University's Hack the Anvil hackathon, the Red Lantern team created a system for controlling the color and intensity of electric lights, based on the context of emails and on gestures detected by the Microsoft Kinect.
