Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum...
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the driver for the 'PCI Memory Controller'

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, and all the drivers were found I think... cause there were no problems with anything...
But once I installed AVG the system got extremely slow...
So I started doing some snooping, and found that the PCI Memory Controller has no driver assigned...
And am not sure if this is the reason that the system is slow... or if it was the anti-virus...
I had bought Norton 360 V2, and the computer guy said it might work with Windows 7, after trying to install it, it told me its not compatable... so I had to uninstall it... so it might even be the 'uninstalling' of 360 which has slowed down my system, and something similar had happened with Vista, but that was the first version of 360...

Does anyone have any advise?

Thanks a lot,
Best regards,
Nick

Download from Manufacturer's Website: - If Windows Update doesn't find the driver, you can visit the website of your motherboard manufacturer or the manufacturer of the chipset to download the appropriate driver. 3. Antivirus Software: - Regarding the slowdown issue after installing AVG or Norton 360 V2, antivirus software can sometimes cause performance issues. You might want to consider using Windows Defender or a lighter antivirus program to see if it helps with the system speed. 4. Performance Check: - After updating the driver and changing the antivirus, monitor the system performance to see if the issue persists. This way, you can narrow down the cause of the slowdown. If you need further assistance with finding the driver or troubleshooting the system performance, feel free to ask!
