Microsoft has unveiled two special edition Xbox controllers to commemorate the 10th anniversary of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," developed in collaboration with CD Projekt RED. These controllers are designed to immerse players further into the game's universe, featuring iconic elements such as the wolf medallion, the red claw emblem, Glagolitic script, and dual-colored triggers symbolizing Geralt's steel and silver swords. The surface design is intentionally weathered, reflecting the rugged journey of a witcher. Joshua Flowers from CD Projekt RED emphasized the goal of making the controller feel like an artifact from within the game, carrying its own stories.
These limited-edition controllers are compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs, and mobile devices. The standard Witcher 3 10th Anniversary Special Edition controller is priced at $79.99, while the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core The Witcher 3 10th Anniversary Special Edition is available for $169.99. Both models are currently available on the Microsoft Store, though stock is limited due to their special edition status.
In addition to these controllers, Microsoft recently introduced the Xbox Floral Collection 2025, expanding their range of themed gaming accessories.
For fans of "The Witcher 3," these controllers offer a tangible connection to the game's rich lore and aesthetic, enhancing the gaming experience with their detailed design and thematic elements.
