Gigabyte motherboards have a dual bios in case one is compromised by viruses or the chip fails.
How do you remove jumper from a notebook?
My Gigabyte moderboard died few months ago and now i have to live with one old asus motherboard because i can't afford new.
My ThinkPad notebook has a setting in the BIOS menu for disabling the BIOS Update feature. It is listed in the Security submenu in the BIOS.
Just remove your BIOS chip and you'll be perfectly safe.
