How do you remove jumper from a notebook?
My ThinkPad notebook has a setting in the BIOS menu for disabling the BIOS Update feature. It is listed in the Security submenu in the BIOS.

Thanks for this info, scary to think what people can do these days, not many people would of known about this one.
Gigabyte motherboards have a dual bios in case one is compromised by viruses or the chip fails.
My Gigabyte moderboard died few months ago and now i have to live with one old asus motherboard because i can't afford new.

Just remove your BIOS chip and you'll be perfectly safe.
