Windows 7 Logon Process Initialization Failure during Installation Upgrade from Vista to Windows 10

in the setup is starting services screen a message pops up ..

logon process initialization failure

interactive logon process initialization has failed

please consult the event log for more details
OK

press ok and the sceer goes black but i ave a mouse cursor. eventually it reboots and repeats problem.

upgraging from vista 3 bit

help

Try this:

1. Boot into Windows 7 Disk
2. Launch the 'Repair' utility (I think this is found next to the "Install" button on the lower left corner?)
3. Look for "Startup Repair"and run that

no joy on the repair. no problems found.
doing a clean install at the moment to see if that works.

clean install did the trick. now i have to spend the rest of the week reinstalling all my software.
i hate bill gates
