Can people post wireless speeds and wired(no router* unless you're getting at least 23Mbits) speeds for their connections. Along with the router and adapter's model numbers and distance adapter is from router?

I'm looking for a good adapter/router wireless-N combo

*I used to check my wired speeds getting about 11-12Mbits. My connection is stated to be 10Mbits. So I thought I was doing good. Till I plugged my laptop str8 into the router. I was getting 27Mbits and 2MB/s on Azureus. So, I was getting less than half.

To find a suitable wireless-N adapter/router combo to improve your network speeds, it's crucial to consider both your current wired and wireless speeds. Let's break down the important points you've mentioned:
  • Wired speeds: When connecting directly to the router, you were getting around 27Mbits while the stated connection speed is 10Mbits, which is excellent.
  • Wireless speeds: It seems you are experiencing significantly lower speeds on wireless compared to wired connection.
To help you find a good adapter/router wireless-N combo, it would be beneficial to know the model numbers of your current router and adapter, as well as the approximate distance between the adapter and the router. This information will assist in...
