Windows 10 MAC address restriction and wi fi booster

I am using mac address to recogonize my network wi fi devices instead of passwords.
I tried at one time to add a wi fi booster but it did not work with mac restrictions.

Any suggestion as how to do it or which wifi booster will work

Don't use mac filtering as your security for wireless. It's trivial to locate the wireless mac and spoof it. Make sure you use a strong password for wireless with WPA2

Still want to use mac filter with wifi booster

This depends on the extender you're using. Some will allow MAC filtering but you have to disable it on your router first.

If it's a physical device it will have it's own mac

I have to check which wifi booster allows mac filter.
Disable mac filter on router
Enable mac filter on wifi
Correct ?
