Windows 7 MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-8505 ATA Device not reading discs

I have been using windows7 quite a while now, and after a few weeks my MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-8505 ATA Device not reading discs anymore and I cannot burn to either CD-R / CD-RW / DVD-R which I can do before with my previous OS, even the one I used during the successful installation of Windows7 which I burned from the same device when I was still with Windows Vista Home Premium OS.

My system specs below:
