Mercedes-Benz has announced a significant expansion of its collaboration with Microsoft, introducing advanced productivity tools directly into its vehicles. Starting this summer, the all-new CLA model will feature the latest version of the Meetings for Teams app, allowing drivers to participate in video conferences using the built-in vehicle camera. To ensure safety, the system automatically disables the video stream when the camera is activated, preventing the driver from viewing shared content or presentations while driving. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz has integrated Microsoft Intune into its MB.OS operating system, enabling secure, enterprise-compliant access to business accounts. The company is also working with Microsoft to incorporate Microsoft 365 Copilot, a generative AI assistant, to help drivers manage tasks such as summarizing emails and retrieving client information through voice commands. These features aim to transform the vehicle into a third workspace, complementing the office and home office. (group.mercedes-benz.com)
