hi, I am new to windows 10 and having a few issues with it, now when I was running windows 7 I had Internet Explorer and when I went on torrent sites and found something I wanted I would just click on it and torrent would download in my download folder and then I could choose when I wanted to download the torrent using utorrent NOW when I do the same thing using M/soft Edge I click on torrent I want to down load BUT then I get a box coming up saying " Did you mean to switch apps ? M/Soft edge is trying to open utorrent- YES or NO " if I select NO nothing at all happens but if select YES it puts the torrent straight into utorrent, does anyone know what is going on and what I have to do to get it to do the same as internet explorer use to, hoping someone can help, Thank You

It seems like your issue is related to file associations in Windows 10, particularly when clicking on torrent files in Microsoft Edge. Here's how you can resolve this and set it up to work as you used to in Internet Explorer: 1. Adjusting Default App Settings: - Press the Windows key, type "Default apps settings," and select it from the search results. - Scroll down to "Choose default apps by file type" and locate the ".torrent" file type. - Click on the current associated app (usually showing as "UTorrent" if you've clicked Yes before) and select "Choose a default" to set your preferred association. 2. Changing File Associations: - Right-click on a .torrent file on your computer. - Choose "Open with" and then "Choose...

Changing File Associations: - Right-click on a .torrent file on your computer. - Choose "Open with" and then "Choose another app." - Select your preferred torrent client (e.g., uTorrent). - Ensure to check the box that says "Always use this app to open .torrent files." 3. Reconfiguring Microsoft Edge: - Open Microsoft Edge browser. - Click on the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner for the Menu. - Choose "Settings," then "View advanced settings." - Under "Open .torrent files," select the preferred option (you might want this to be "Always ask me what to do"). By adjusting these settings, you should be able to control how .torrent files are handled when clicked in Microsoft Edge. This customization will bring back the behavior similar to what you experienced in Internet Explorer, giving you more control over how these files are managed and downloaded.
