    Rather quietly, Microsoft announced they will build antivirus protection into Windows 8, rather than ask users to download Security Essentials as they do in Windows 7. Will that help consumers, or hurt AV companies? read more

    I think it's a good idea I'm sure the AV software people and Europeans will fight it like they did with IE. Just look at the number of people who buy a PC with installed trial AV then don't renew or replace it and get infected. When I bought this PC from HP and you could not get it without AV installed I didn't like the only 2 choices Norton or McAfee. The Norton was such a pain I got rid of it about 6 months before the subscription expired.
